From 23rd March 2009 – 22nd June 2009 Gary Merralls, the lead singer of Vortex will undertake a sponsored weight loss in aid of Myeloma UK. Gary has struggled with his weight all of his life and he hopes, this time, that he can lose weight steadily once and for all! To give him the kick start needed he has decided to use the above time period to lose weight whilst being sponsored for a very worthwhile charity. Why does it finish on the 22nd June? That is the last slimming class Gary will visit before Vortex play a special charity event in aid of Myeloma UK at the Salutation Hotel in Perth.
